ABOUT ME

I am George. A freelance dancer, maker and performer based in Leeds, United Kingdom. I am a graduate of Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD) and Verve, the postgraduate company, touring works by Sita Ostheimer, Alesandra Seutin and Akram Kahn. Since graduating I have worked and performed with aKa Dance Theatre, Opera North, Futurist Theatre Productions.

I began dancing at a young age. It has always been part of my life from dancing every Saturday from the age of three to performing in the local dance shows and musicals. It's a joy to now live my daily life as a professional. Prior to training professionally at NSCD, I trained at college in Musical Theatre, a genre of art/theatre/performance that is very apparent to my style and making now as a maker and choreographer.

A practice I am always keen to follow as a dancer is the notion of always exploring deep within movement, to feel pleasure within textures and sensations of the moving body.
